Notes

  • Enjoy Sourdough Brownies in moderation, as they are high in sugar and calories at 200 calories per serving.
Can I use active sourdough starter instead of discard?

Yes, you can use an active starter, but the discard’s mild tang pairs better with the brownies’ sweetness.

How should I store leftover brownies?

Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.

Can I add nuts to these brownies?

Absolutely! Chopped walnuts or pecans make a great addition, adding a crunchy texture to the fudgy brownies.
